I always thought that one of the perks of having a portrait studio in Queens is that I’m not at the mercy of weather here in New York but apparently I thought incorrectly! It turns out mother nature was out to prove me wrong as we had to reschedule this sweet girls session numerous times due to an awful snow storm. It might have been nice and toasty here in the portrait studio but the weather was still wreaking havoc outside.
By the time we finally got her in the studio for her newborn photos her mom was worried she would be too old for pictures but she did great. Her name is Adele and she is the sweetest thing. Did you know the name Adele can mean noble, kind, and tender? What a perfectly fitting name for a precious new baby. I see a lot of newborns here in the studio but I really fell in love with her name.
Her mom was gifted a newborn mini session with me but we upgraded to a full session because she loved the images so much. Adele was perfection in every pose and set up we tried. Although I’m pretty partial to the rosy pink colors. But how sweet was she in the bonnet? I also really loved her in the purple setups.
The goal for newborn sessions is to get the baby in the studio while they’re young enough to sleep through the photos. Sometimes we get a baby who is a little bit older and more awake. That can actually work out well too. In this case, we got Adeles big brown eyes and super cute expressions.
Miss Adele is the fourth baby in the family and I have a feeling she will be surrounded by lots of love.
