There is no bigger compliment than when a family chooses to book my photography studio for their newborn photos not just once, but twice. I first met Nicholas’ family three years ago when I photographed his big sister Samantha as a newborn. They’re such a sweet family and the kids are just gorgeous! I was ecstatic when his mom called me to book his newborn session.
I got to meet Nicholas at 3 weeks old and he was as cute as a button. He was a very light sleeper and quite alert at times, especially for a newborn. Although when he was awake his big brown eyes were so expressive and gave me some of the cutest facial expressions, even a bit of a smirk. You can’t help but smile at some of his funny facial expressions!
At three weeks old newborns have discovered the ability to stretch and Nicholas was a fan of stretching out in my posing bowl. It was so adorable. Although, baby Nicholas wasn’t a huge fan of being posed. Like most newborns, he loved to be swaddled and wrapped though. I was even able to get some sweet sleepy newborn photos by wrapping him. Part of being a newborn photographer is understanding that it’s actually the baby who runs the show, as most new parents find out!
Unfortunately, his dad and older sister couldn’t make it to the session, but it was nice to see mom again! We were able to capture an adorable portrait of mother and son too.
Hopefully, I will see everyone back in my Queens, New York photography studio soon for holiday pictures. I can’t wait to see how much Samantha has grown and how Nicholas is doing!
