What is a milestone session?
A session specifically designed to capture a baby’s growth and development throughout their first year of life.
What is a cake smash session?
A session designed to celebrate a baby’s first birthday by letting them smash a cake and capture their reactions, expressions, and messiness in a fun and playful way.
CAN WE SCHEDULE A SESSION AROUND MY BABY’S NAP TIME?
Absolutely! Our goal is to capture photos of a happy baby. Since all babies are different, it’s hard to tell how they will react during the portrait session and we can’t guarantee specific poses or smiles. However, we will do our best to choose a time when they are typically the happiest – after a nap and with a full belly! Please also keep in mind vaccination appointments; try not to schedule a photo session a day or two after these to avoid fussiness or soreness.
WHAT IF MY CHILD IS SICK BEFORE THE PHOTOSHOOT?
A healthy child is a happy child! Please let me know within 24hrs of your photo session if your child is sick, has a runny nose, or cough, so we can reschedule your session.
CAN PARENTS/SIBLINGS BE INCLUDED IN THE MILESTONE SESSION?
Parents and siblings are welcome to join in for some photos, however, the primary emphasis of the session is capturing the baby.
HOW LONG DOES THE SESSION TAKE?
The session takes on average between an hour up to two hours if you’re including a cake smash. Babies at this age have a short attention span so we work quickly.
WHAT IF MY BABY IS SHY OR CRIES DURING THE PHOTOSHOOT?
Babies are unpredictable and it is totally normal for them to cry or be fussy during a photoshoot. We are experienced in working with babies and are well-prepared to handle such situations. We will prioritize baby’s comfort throughout the entire session and will capture beautiful moments even amidst the occasional tears.
DO YOU PROVIDE THE PROPS AND OUTFITS FOR THE SESSION?
The studio is filled with various backdrops, props, and some outfits to be used during your session. We highly recommend that parents bring their own clothing options to infuse a personal touch into the session. This allows us to tailor the session to your unique style and preferences, ensuring that the photos truly reflect your baby’s personality.
