Mom contacted me when baby was 24 days old and I’m so glad I had availability to offer her a session a few days later. Although the “ideal” time to take newborn pictures is within the first 2 weeks of birth, I often find that I’m quite successful with older babies (3-4 weeks old). Egypt slept through her entire session and was so good for me.
Mom picked a purple and pink color theme. These colors go so well with Egypt’s complexion. Mom was a bit nervous upon arrival about how things would go, but as soon as she saw me work my magic with her sweet little girl, she totally relaxed and let me do my thing.
Mom admitted that dad wanted to take Egypt to JCPenney for newborn pictures and she’s so glad she came to me instead. So am I. JCPenney does not specialize in newborn pictures. Their staff is not trained to handle newborns. It’s so important to do your research when searching for a newborn photographer and find someone with proper training and experience. I’ve been photographing newborns for 6 years. I’ve trained with some of the top newborn photographers in the industry and have photographed hundreds of newborn babies.
